WEEKEND


Weekend is a 2011 British gay film. Russell attends a house party with his straight friends but leaves early. He decides to head for a gay club where he meets Glen a studying artist. They both go to Russell's apartment where they have sex. Russel gets bored at the pool where he works as a lifeguard and decides to call Glen. They go back to Russell's flat where they get to know each other better. Glen learns Russell grew up in foster homes. Russell is upset to find out Glen is moving to USA soon for further studies and even has a farewell party planned for next day. Russell agrees to attend. While at the party a girl friend to Glen confides in Russell that Glen has had a previous gay relationship which went wrong. After the party at home Glen discovers Russell has been with his ex boyfriend John. That Sunday morning Glen leaves leaving Russell disappointed. Russell attends his friend Jamie's daughter birthday. He is clearly distort and when he explains to Jamie they decide to visit the train station to see Glen off. It is an emotional moment as Russell says goodbye and Glen hands him a present. Back home Russell opens the present to find it is a voice recorder with oral recollections of the activities over the weekend.

THE CURIOSITY OF CHANCE


The Curiosity Of Chance is a 2006 gay comedy which follows a 16 year old boy's life in a European international school for a year. Chance Marquis is a gay teenager who shows up with a top hat and cane on his first day at Brickland International High School. His demeanor attracts the attention of bullies who single him out to torment. Chance however quickly learns how to survive after making friends with the school's biggest misfits. Chance is still discovering his gay self and so he visits a drag bar. When photos of Chance in a drag show emerge in school he has a hard time dealing with the homophobia that comes with it.

THE SKINNY


The Skinny is a black gay movie released in 2012. This film revolves around four black gay men who are former classmates at Brown University and their lesbian friend Langston who is a Yale University PhD student. They have met in New York for the Gay Pride March. Magnus who is their host is an affluent medical student and has a boyfriend named Ryan. Magnus' friends discover Ryan's profiles on the internet about sex parties including other sexual activities. They are shocked and Magnus now learns that Ryan has been living another life. They break up. Meanwhile, one of their friends Sebastian is date raped after getting high on ecstasy at a club. His HIV tests including those of the two men who he later identified as the rapists turn out negative. Kyle who works in film back in Los Angeles returns home sad after he discovers his positive HIV status.

GODS AND MONSTERS


Gods and Monsters is a 1998 gay movie about once powerful film director James Whale. He gets his fame especially for directing Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein. James is long retired. He paints for leisure. James has numerous gay lovers who frequent the house. His housekeeper Hanna does not approve of all the infidelity even though she does not speak out. James is in poor health though. His casual contacts with random gay boys is cut short when he falls in love with the new gardener who is a former marine and Korean war veteran. This film revolves around James' fascination with the new gardener and eventual suicide.

IN THE NAME OF


In The Name Of is a 2013 gay movie about a catholic priest. Father Adam works at a home of teenagers with behavioral problems. Adam is secretly gay. He has used the vow of celibacy to escape from his own sexuality. He refuses sexual advances from one of the boys using his vow as an excuse. A new boy has also been spreading rumors about his homosexuality. At one time comes upon two of the boys having sex on a chair. He removes the chair the next day and the active partner could tell father Adam knows. The passive boy later commits suicide and only father Adam and the other boy know why. Father Adam carries a very heavy burden of staying in the closet and celibate. Trouble catches up with him when he is accused of having an affair with a boy.

LAW OF DESIRE


This 1987 gay movie also goes by the Spanish title La ley del deseo. The film follows a complex love triangle between three gay men namely Pablo, Juan and Antonio. Pablo is a film director. His homosexual partner is Juan. Pablo meets Antonio at a party and they both go ahead and have sex. It is Antonio's first time to have sexual intercourse and he gets obsessed with Pablo. Antonio also gets jealous of Juan's relationship with Pablo. He confronts Juan and ends up throwing him off a cliff to his death. Pablo suspects Antonio for the death but he gets engaged in an accident which gets him hospitalized. Pablo's sister Tina reveals that she has found a lover at last. Pablo discovers the lover is actually Antonio. Antonio holds Tina hostage in order to get time with Pablo. Antonio shares some moments with Pablo then commits suicide.

FLOATING SKYSCRAPERS


Floating Skyscrapers is a 2013 gay film about Kuba who trains as a swimmer and is still discovering his homosexuality. Kuba has a girlfriend named Sylwia. She takes Kuba to an art exhibition after picking him up from training. There he meets Michal and they both strike a conversation. Unknown to Sylwia, Kuba is secretly gay and has been admiring men training including receiving oral sex from a guy in the bathroom. Kuba and Michal continue to meet and grow fond of each other. Michal falls in love with Kuba One day at a dinner in Kuba's home, Michal tells Kuba's mother about his love for Kuba. The relationship distracts Kuba from his training and one day he quits in the middle of a swimming competition. Michal eventually comes out to his family about his homosexuality and love for Kuba.

LONGTIME COMPANION


Longtime Companion is a 1989 gay movie which chronicles the emergence of HIV/AIDS and the impact it had on a group of several gay friends. Sean is a scriptwriter, Howard comes from a wealthy family, Paul is a business executive, Fuzzy is a lawyer then Willy and John. They also have a lady friend called Lisa who is Fuzzy's sister. John is hospitalized for pneumonia only to be diagnosed with the new disease which The New York Times calls the 'gay cancer'. Gay cancer was a term used to describe AIDS before research found out what it was because it was first discovered widespread among the gay community in New York. John is the first in the group to die from AIDS complications. Several of the friends continue to fall ill and die from the disease including Howard who discovers early enough to declare his status publicly and raise money for AIDS causes. The title of this gay film comes from the term The New York Times used to describe homosexual partners. The New York Times always described the surviving homosexual partner in the obituaries as his longtime companion.

NORTH SEA TEXAS


North Sea Texas is a 2011 gay movie about an introverted child named Pim. Pim spends most of his time drawing and sometimes cross dressing with his mother's clothing. Pim falls in love with another boy Gino who is a neighbor. They do share several intimate moments during their teen years but it later turns out Gino has a girlfriend. Gino soon starts spending more time and moving in with the girlfriend leaving Pim lonely again. Gino's sister Sabrina is in love with Pim but it takes her some time to discover that Pim is gay. Sabrina turns hostile on Pim after she discovers even though he moves into their home when his mother runs off with a boyfriend. Gino's mother dies and it reunites Pim and Gino once again even though Gino has moved on.

YOSSI & JAGGER


Yossi & Jagger is a 2002 Israeli gay movie about two soldiers who are in a secret romantic affair. Yossi commands a unit near the Lebanon border. Jagger is second in command and very handsome. One day the colonel comes to supervise and night time ambush with two female soldiers. One of them Yaeli has a crush on Jagger but he is not interested since he is gay and in love with Yossi. Yossi is against the operation that night because of safety concerns due to the full moon. It however goes ahead and fatally injured and dies in Yossi's arms. At a funeral reception Jagger's mother thinks Yaeli is her son's girlfriend but only Yossi knows even his favorite song.

MY OWN PRIVATE IDAHO


My Own Private Idaho is a 1991 gay movie slightly based on Shakespeare's Henry IV part 1, 2 and Henry V. The film is about two friends Mike and Scott. Mike is a gay hustler who is quiet and suffers from narcolepsy. He was abandoned as a child and is trying to find his long lost mother. Scott is the son to Portland's mayor. Mike is picked up by a woman at his hustling spot and once in her house he meets best friend Scott and another hustler Gary. Mike suffers another narcolepsy attack while preparing for sex with the woman. He wakes up next day with Scott in Portland. They leave for Idaho to visit Mike's older brother Richard on a quest to find Mike's mother. Richard tells Mike his mother works as a hotel maid but when they visit the hotel they find she left for Italy to find her own family. Mike and Scott travel to Italy and find the farmhouse his mother worked but a young lady named Carmela who lives there informs them she returned to USA months ago. Scott and Carmela fall in love. Scott is bisexual even though he still insists he is straight and will leave hustling once he turns 21 and inherits the father's fortune. The lovers return to USA leaving Mike to return alone sad. Scott's father soon dies and he inherits the fortune. Scott rejects and avoids company with all his fellow hustlers now. He now runs a posh restaurant. Meanwhile, Mike is back on the road and suffers another attack. Two men pull up and steal his backpack and shoes. Later, someone else unidentified puts Mike in a car and drives off with him. The origin of this gay movie comes from a 1963 Novel, City of Night.

AN EARLY FROST


An Early Frost is a respectable gay movie made for television in 1985. It was the first major TV movie to deal with the topic of AIDS. The movie is about Michael Pierson a successful young gay lawyer. One day Michael suffers from a bad cough at work and is rushed to hospital. There he gets the bad news that he has AIDS. His gay partner Peter confesses that he has had sex outside their relationship because Michael works to much and is closeted. Michael is infuriated and he throws Peter out then travels to inform his parents. His father Nick is angry about the news and refuses to talk to him for some while. He even gets very upset when Michael tries to kiss his sister. Nick just like most other Americans at the time is not well informed about AIDS and its mode of transmission. Michael's health continues to deteriorate as he suffers discrimination both from family and co-workers because of his sexual orientation and AIDS. He eventually winds up in hospital even though paramedics had refused to transport him. In hospital he meets Victor a flamboyant homosexual also dying from AIDS. Because of misinformation about AIDS at the time, even hospital staff treat AIDS patients with a level of caution including throwing away Michael's possessions. This film depicts the emergence of AIDS especially among gay people at the time and the disparity associated with it.

KEEP THE LIGHTS ON


Keep The Lights On is a 2012 gay film about two gay men one a lawyer and the other an artist. Erik is an artist while Paul is a lawyer. The two men meet through a phone sex hotline. They immediately get attracted to each other and begin an intimate gay relationship. Paul is having a problem with drug addiction and it affects their relationship greatly. Erik is working on a documentary which he is successful with. This film is about relationships and how sex, friendship, intimacy and love play a part in them.

PARIS IS BURNING


Paris is burning is not necessarily a gay movie but a 1990 documentary about the ball culture among the gay and transgender. It consisted of the minority Latino and African-American communities. Balls are competitions in which cross dressers compete on a run way walk just like real models. Judgement criteria includes drag reality, clothing beauty and voguing. Voguing is a dance imitating the fashion poses on the cover of Vogue Magazine. This gay documentary switches between ball competitions and interviews with some of the prominent members in the scene. It explores their personal lives and things they have had to go through because of their identity such as racism, homophobia, AIDS and poverty. Some were kicked out by their parents at a young age while some survive as sex workers. This underground community finds freedom to be themselves in these balls away from a world which discriminates and despises them.

BEFORE NIGHT FALLS


Before Night Falls is a 2000 gay film based on the autobiography of Cuban poet and novelist Reinaldo Arenas. Reinaldo was born and raised in Cuba's Orient province by his single mother and grandparents in 1943. Reinaldo moves to the capital Havana to continue with his studies. While in Havana Reinaldo explores his sexuality and is soon openly gay. He is also given a chance to publish his writings after receiving a honorary mention in a contest. His political writings and homosexuality make him a target of Castro's regime and it is not long before he is accused of molesting minors. He is imprisoned at El Morro. After being released he eventually manages to flee Cuba to New York where he moves in with his friend Lazaro. His joy is however short lived as he is diagnosed with AIDS. After battling with the disease for several years, Reinaldo takes his own life after intentionally overdosing on drugs and alcohol on December 7th 1990.

GEOGRAPHY CLUB


Geography Club is a 2013 gay movie about a group of teenagers discovering their sexual identities. Russell is going on dates with girls but is still secretly involved in a gay affair with football quarterback Kevin. Kevin is trying very hard for his teammates not to find out. Some in the group do not know who they are or what they want. They decide to join the geography club to try and discover themselves in a semi secretive environment but it really does not work out as they expected.

THE NEW NORMAL


The New Normal is a gay TV series about Bryan and David a wealthy gay couple living in Los Angeles. The series premiered in 2012. They both have successful careers but the only thing missing in their relationship is a baby. They choose to get a baby through a surrogate mother named Goldie. Goldie is a single mother and waitress from Ohio. She left her adulterous husband and moved to Los Angleles with her nine year old daughter Shania. Goldie moves in with the gay couple against the wishes of her grandmother. The grandmother comes over to oppose the surrogacy and causes havoc for the couple and Goldie.

YOU CAN'T CURRY LOVE


This is a 2009 Indian gay movie about Vikas who works in London. Vikas has feeling towards his boss but Thom is straight. He is sent on a business trip to New Delhi and is initially not happy going there. In New Delhi he meets Sunil who is a handsome desk clerk at the hotel he is staying. He falls in love with Sunil and goes ahead to discover more about India even falling in love with a transgender. You can't curry love of one of the Indian gay movies which has won awards around the world.

TWO OF US


Two of Us is one of the gay movies produced to confront government attempts to ban gay sexual education in British schools. It was released in 1987. Phil is a fun loving student in his final year in secondary school. He has a girlfriend Sharon. Sharon's best friend Vera is attracted to Phil's best friend Matthew. Matthew is however gay. He dropped out of school the previous year to escape teasing and humiliation. He also gets in trouble at home when his collection of gay movies is discovered. Phil is torn between his love for Sharon and feeling towards Matthew. He tries to have them both but it eventually leads to problems. Phil and Matthew eventually decide run away to the coastal resort of Seaford to escape the complications of home life.

STRUGGLE


Struggle is a 2010 gay movie about Darren. Darren is a young gay man who has just arrived in Toronto. He has nowhere to live and is running out of money. He finds some solace with a group of gay rent boys. He falls in love with one of the boys in the group called Steve. Steve already has a boyfriend and so it bound to get complicated. Darren tries very hard to avoid prostituting himself which makes his life lonely. His infatuation with Steve and loneliness leads him to catastrophic circumstances.

THE LARAMIE PROJECT


This is a 2002 gay movie based on a play in reaction to the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard presumably because he was gay. Matthew was a student at the University of Wyoming. On the midnight of October 7 1998 he met Aaron McKinney and Russell Henderson at Fireside Lounge in Laramie, Wyoming. The two offered to drive Matthew home but only to drive into a remote location where they robbed and tortured him. Matthew was discovered many hours later by a cyclist unconscious. He never regained consciousness and later passed on from his injuries. His death was denounced as a hate crime. McKinney and Henderson are serving life sentences for the murder.

FOR THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO


For The Bible Tells Me So is a 2007 gay documentary which looks into the interaction of Christianity and homosexuality is USA. It looks into how the bible has been used as a reference to discriminate against gay people. According to the bible being gay is an abomination and punishable by death.

GET REAL


Get Real is a 1998 movie about a gay teenager named Steven Carter. Steven is a High School student and has always known that he is gay from an early age. He is an intelligent student but introverted and nonathletic which makes him an easy pick by bullies in school. Steven is also very handsome. His confidant is a neighboring girl Linda who has self confidence problems because of her weight and past relationships gone bad. Steven cruises for sex at a public toilet in their local park after school. One day he exchanges notes with someone through a hole dividing the toilet stalls. The person on the other side turns out to be John Dixon. John is a very popular boy in school apart from being the star in the school's track events. Steven develops a crush despite the fact that John has a girlfriend. He manages to get John home even though he runs away after a weird conversation and a near kiss with Steven. After a school dance in which the two stare intentionally at each other a homosexual affair develops. John tells Steven that he really loves him but nobody should know that he is gay. Their relationship is however put through tests by pressure from school and at home with parents. It comes to a point where John is even forced to beat Steven up just to prove that he is not gay.

EDGE OF SEVENTEEN


Eric Hunter is a teenage boy just coming to terms with his sexual orientation in this 1998 gay film. He takes up a summer job serving food at the local amusement park together with best friend Maggie. While at the job they befriend their lesbian manager Angie and a gay college student named Rod. Eric gets his first homosexual experience with Rod. Rod however moves back to Ohio leaving Eric thirsty of a boy lover on his last year in High School. A series of events including problems with financing for him to study music in college introduce Eric to the real world.

THE BROKEN HEARTS CLUB


This year 2000 movie tells the story of a group of gay friends living in West Hollywood. There is Cole who is very handsome and an actor. Cole however rubs shoulders with the others the wrong way for dating their boyfriends. Benji is the youngest in the group and is going through some tough times. He has a taste for muscular built men. Dennis the photographer is more composed and holds the group together. Howie is a psychology student who too often over thinks on issues thus denying himself happiness. There is also Patrick who always reads self interest in all situations even if they are in good faith. We have Taylor who is feeling very embarrassed after his relationship came to an end despite boasting of having the longest one. Lastly we meet Jack who owns a restaurant and is the father figure whom everybody seeks advice from. Problems start when a 23 year old named Kevin tries to fit himself into the group. It causes chaos in their friendships which are about to be put to test.

A SINGLE MAN


George Falconer is a gay college professor living in Los Angeles in this 2009 gay film. George is still grieving the loss of his longtime partner Jim eight months earlier in a road accident. The grief has got to him and he now plans to commit suicide later during the day. During the day he comes across a student named Kenny Potter who shows interest in him. Kenny follows him to the bar. They start drinking and later continue to his George's house. George passes out and wakes up to find himself in bed. He finds Kenny asleep holding George's gun to prevent him from committing suicide. He locks the gun away and decides to end his grief and move on with his life. He however suffers a heart attack and dies.

PRIEST


St. Mary's Parish in Liverpool has been assigned a new priest Father Gregg Pilkington in this 1994 film. He is shocked to discover than Father Mathew Thomas an older member of the Parish is disregarding his vow of celibacy and sleeping with a female housekeeper. Gregg has more to worry about himself because he is a homosexual. He even goes on to meet a young boy named Graham and they start a relationship. Meanwhile a female student named Lisa confides to have been sexually abused by her father. The father also confides the same. Both of them have revealed this in the confessional and so Father Gregg has to keep it a secret. He however warns Lisa's mother to keep her daughter safe without revealing why. When Lisa's mother discovers her husband has molested Lisa she recalls Gregg's warnings and confronts him for not revealing it. To add to his troubles he gets arrested for having sex with Graham in a parked car. It makes the newspapers headlines and Gregg is unable to face his congregation. He moves to a rural parish to escape the shame but Father Mathew convinces him to return amidst resistance from part of the congregation.

THE TRIP


Set in the 70s this 2002 gay movie starts with Tommy introducing himself to Alan at a party in Los Angeles. Alan is writing his anti homosexuality book and so invites Tommy to come and interview him about it. At dinner their connection becomes too intense and Alan's girlfriend Beverly leaves him suspecting it is more than an interview. Alan goes ahead to finish his book. One day Tommy comes over to his house to confront him about his calls and Alan kisses him by force. They start a relationship. Alan joins a homosexual rights organization together with Tommy. Trouble starts when his book is used to fuel anti homosexuality and it gets to be known that he is the writer. He looses his job and breaks up with Tommy and it is years later before they can reunite.

THE ONE


The One is a 2011 gay movie about a homosexual man who falls in love with a heterosexual man. Daniel is a handsome and successful investment banker with everything going well for him. He is even planning to get married to a beautiful woman named Jen. Tommy is Daniel's former classmate in college and is now openly gay. Tommy even had a crush on Daniel back in college. One day after a few drinks Tommy manages to seduce Daniel to bed. Daniel feels guilty after that incident and wants nothing to do with Tommy. Tommy is however in love even though he has been warned by his gay friends not to fall for a straight man. One friend tells Tommy "he is never going to leave her for you". Daniel is determined to go ahead and marry Jen.

THE GYMNAST


The Gymnast is a 2006 lesbian film about the life of Jane who is now in her forties. Jane was a talented gymnast in her younger years but an injury robbed her off that. She is now a massage therapist and in a very unhappy marriage. She even takes antidepressants to get by. She has however managed to keep her body very fit and young. One day she wakes up and comes to the realization that she has no children. She has already surpassed the limit of getting pregnant naturally. To have a baby artificially she would be forced to confront her husband who she has to remind to even have sex. Jane wonders into a local gym in frustration where she meets Nicole who convinces her to take part in a performance together with another woman named Serena. Serena is secretly gay or rather lesbian. She is an adopted child of Korean descent a history she also struggles to cope with. When Nicole is called away for an emergency, the two women are left to train together. Their attraction to each other grows stronger and it becomes irresistible.

THE LOVE PATIENT


The Love Patient is a 2011 gay comedy movie. A gay couple Paul and Brad broke up for an unknown reason. Paul is selfish and likes attention. He is unable to move on with his life after the breakup. He finds help inform of advice from a friend in the medical profession. He deceives his family and friends that he is suffering from cancer. This is meant to win back Brad through sympathy and affection. The comedy in the movie ensues during this period of faked illness.

LOVING ANNABELLE


Loving Annabelle is a 2006 lesbian movie about a student teacher homosexual relationship. Annabelle Tillman is the daughter of a senator. She now schools at a catholic boarding school after being expelled from two schools. Her poetry teacher Simone Bradley is still in charge of her dormitory. Simone is known for adhering to the rules and regulations of the school no matter what. Annabelle on the other hand is rebellious. It even comes to a point where Simone wants her transferred from her dormitory claiming she is unable to control her. Simone manages to convince Annabelle to comply with the school rules. Annabelle falls in love with her. Simone resists Annabelle's gay advances until they are left in school alone during spring break. Simone takes her to the beach house where Annabelle discovers her painful past. Annabelle continues her lesbian pursuit until during the annual school dance where after singing an emotional love song Simone is unable to resist and they end up making love. The Principal of the school Mother Immaculata walks in on them dressing the next morning. Simone is arrested after revealing that she had a lesbian sexual affair with Annabelle. What happens next?

LONGHORNS


Longhorns is a 2011 gay comedy whose setting is Texas in the eighties. The drama ensues in a Texas where Kevin a student who is in denial about his homosexuality meets Cesar who is open about his gay sexual orientation. Although being in denial, Kevin acts on his feelings and starts to flirt with Cesar. He does not want to seem as the chaser so he consoles himself that Cesar is making the advances even though it is him. Kevin's friend Justin clashes with Cesar while pursuing his best friend Marsha for a gay relationship. The interaction between this characters brings out the humor in this gay film. The drama even gets more interesting when Kevin escapes his relationship with Cesar for a weekend getaway with two of his best friends.

LA MISSION


This 2009 gay movie gets its title from the Mission District of San Francisco which is known to harbor many Latino residents. The film is about Che Rivera a respected former gangsta. Che is a reformed inmate and is still trying to keep off alcohol. He has managed to work hard and redeem his life including that of his only son Jes. Che was left to raise Jes himself after the death of his wife. Jes is a High School student but what his father does not know is that he is secretly gay. Homosexuality is a vice that the community in Mission District frowns at but to make matters worse his father is one who believes in being a man to survive as he has had to. Che is crushed to discover that his only son is gay. He cannot stand the shame and throws Che out of the house in a rage. A terrible incident befalls Jes and puts his father through a true test of redemption.

DTLA


DTLA is a gay tv series with the initials standing for Downtown Los Angeles which premiered in 2012. The series follows the lives and relationship between seven friends who work and live in downtown Los Angeles. It looks into love, loyalty and true friendship when it comes to gay people. The series includes gay lead characters such as Darryl Stephens who comes as Lenny. Other actors in the series are gay tv characters you got to watch from other episodes such Danny Roberts and Leslie Jordan. The executive producers of this film series are Helene Shaw, Darryl Stephens, Larry Kennar, Andres Palmieri and Mark Erickson.

BUFFERING


Buffering is a 2011 gay movie about a gay couple Seb and Aaron. They are both in great debt after spending too much than they could afford with their credit card. A brilliant idea of making extra cash pops into Aaron. He decides to film themselves as they have sex without telling Seb then post the videos online. The idea works and money starts trickling but soon Seb comes to know of it. He however goes along with it after realizing that it is a good means of making money fast. They decide to take their enterprise to another level to make more money and that is where the drama grows bigger.

JITTERS


Jitters is a 2010 gay movie about a confused sixteen year old boy named Gabriel. His controlling mother sends him for some weeks to an English language course in Manchester. He meets and befriends the roommate who happens to be very open minded, outgoing and rebellious. This introduces Gabriel to a whole new world of homosexuality. Gabriel is still confused about his sexuality and when he returns everybody notices he has changed. It is a series of events some unfortunate that introduce Gabriel to the ups and downs of life. Girls trying to get him in bed not knowing that he is gay.

AMERICAN TRANSLATION


American Translation is a 2011 gay movie about a strange love affair between Chris and Aurore a girl. Chris is a handsome boy but he has a terrible secret. Chris is a psycho sexual killer. To make it worse he also engages in homosexual affairs especially with gay prostitutes who end up as most of his victims. Like many other gay movies Chris is not comfortable with his homosexuality and is always brooding because of it. Aurore discovers this but is too in love with him to leave and only hopes to be the one to make it change or end. Flawless is a 1999 gay movie about Walter Koontz a very respected New York Police Department Officer. He lives in a downtown apartment with drag queen neighbors. Walter hearing the commotion goes to save Rusty and gets shot. They however manage to scare away the criminals and an ambulance comes to rush Walter to hospital. While boarding the ambulance Rusty gives the paramedics the money to make sure Walter is alright. The two go on to become good friends despite Rusty's homosexuality.

THE BUBBLE


The Bubble is a 2006 gay movie about two men from Israel and Palestine who fall in love. Noam is an Israeli reservist working at a checkpoint. He is however recognized by Lulu's former boyfriend and flees back to his family in Nablus. Noam is devastated by Ashraf's absence and refuses to leave his bed. When violence breaks out in Nablus, Noam and Lulu go looking for Ashraf disguised as journalists. They find him and the two men kiss again but they are seen by Jihad who is about to marry Ashraf's sister. Jihad is a Hamas militant and insists Ashraf marry his cousin of else reveal his homosexuality. Jihad plots a bombing in Tel Aviv and Yali is injured never to walk again. When Israel retaliates Ashraf's sister is killed in the bombing. Ashraf goes to Tel Aviv with a suicide belt and while at the cafe he worked Noam sees him. They both go outside and as they kiss on the street Ashraf explodes the belt killing them both.

Taboo is a 1999 Japanese gay movie showing life in a samurai training school. A very handsome young man named Kano is in the school and happens to be a very skilled swordsman. His looks however cause homosexual desires from both fellow students and superiors creating tensions.

L.I.E.


L.I.E. is a 2001 gay movie about Howie Blitzer who lives with his single father Marty Blitzer in Long Island. The initials of the title stand for Long Island Expressway which is where Howie's mother died in a car accident. Howie is 15 years old and his father who owns a construction firm is having a hard time making time for a father son relationship. Howie is often in the company of delinquent teenagers. They break into people's homes and rob valuables. Gary who is one of the boys is especially close to Howie.
Howie is gay and enjoys applying makeup including lipstick. He is attracted to Gary. He does not know that Gary is an experienced delinquent who has even engaged in gay prostitution. Gary dares Howie they raid a home at night. They break into a home where a birthday party is ongoing. Gary finds two pistols which he takes with him. The owner hears the commotion and almost grabs Howie but is only left with a torn part of his pants. The owner of the house is former marine John Harrigan popularly known as Big John.
One day Gary comes calling for Howie at their home. Marty does not like him claiming he smiles too much. Gary is able to spot Marty picking some money from a drawer and marks it in his mind. He then finds Howie in his room where he is amazed by their affluence. He also makes some gay statements about Howie's body. Marty Blitzer is going through a hard time with his firm Blitzer Builder Corporate. The firm is accused of building with incorrect material that caused a fire in a building. He is to be prosecuted and unfortunately his long time lawyer suffers a heart attack and dies.
Big John eventually finds Gary and asks him for the guns. Gary says Howie took them. It is now revealed Big John has known Gary for a long time. He finds him at a male prostitute joint on the Long Island Expressway. Big John then finds Howie at the restaurant. He convinces him into the car then informs him later about the guns. John tells Howie that he owes him 3000$ for those guns or else he goes to the police. Howie breaks into Gary's room and finds the case with the guns. At the same time Gary has broken into their house and stolen Marty's money which is a lot.
Howie delivers the case to Big John's house. He finds a jealous boy who almost rejects his entry. John looks into the case and says one gun is missing and that Howie now owes him 1000$. He gives Howie a sit and puts on the video of a woman performing oral sex. Big John asks Howie about his endowment and tells him he can do it better than the woman in the video. He puts his hand on Howie's knee moving upwards until a phone call interrupts him. He sees Howie off and the boy living with him Scott looks on jealously and tells him he should be ashamed of himself.
Gary runs away from home as he had earlier planned. Howie is now left on himself to find money to repay John or find the gun. At school he is having problems which almost get him expelled and the therapist cannot seem to understand. His dad tries to intervene but is too busy with his imminent prosecution.
Marty Blitzer is arrested by the federal bureau of investigation officers at his house. Howie comes back to find an empty house and thinks the dad abandoned him. He goes to an over way above the Long Island Expressway and tries to commit suicide by jumping but does not. A police car comes behind and he is ordered in and driven to the police station where his finds his fellow delinquents. They inform him they have been arrested for suspected break ins. Both are picked by their parents and Howie is left alone. Big John sees him and pretends to be his guardian and leaves with him to his house.
In the house he orders the other boy Scott to find a motel for some time. Scott obliges angrily feeling replaced by Howie. Howie is very emotional when John informs him his dad was arrested. He takes care of Howie until morning when he drives him to see his father in prison and leaves. Howie sees his father and they engage in a short bitter conversation.
Big John drives back to the male prostitute joint on the expressway. While admiring and trying to call a boy Scott pulls over by his side and shoots him dead driving off.
Howie having been given by his father the code to his bank's ATM card now can live alone at home. He goes to the over way above the expressway and promises himself it will not let it take him away like the mother including other people such as John Harrigan.    

JEFFREY


Jeffrey is a 1995 story about Jeffrey a gay man who has sworn to celibacy due to AIDS. The gay movie takes place in Manhattan during the height of the AIDS epidemic. Jeffrey soon after meets Steve and falls in love with him. Steve is however HIV positive and Jeffrey is torn in an emotional conflict because of his fears.

EBAN AND CHARLEY


Eban and Charley is a 2000 gay movie telling the story of Charley a gay boy turning 15 and Eban a 29 year old teacher. Charley is living with his stern father after his mother's death a year before. Eban is also gay and has a taste for younger boys. Charley and Eban fall in love but their relationship is trouble because of Charley's age and both their parents opinion.

From The Edge Of The City is a 1998 story about 17 year old Sasha who lives in the outskirts of Athen with his family. Antonia embarks on finding the mistress only to discover that her husband was cheating on her with another man.

GREEN PLAID SHIRT


Green Plaid Shirt is a 2000 gay movie about Philip and Guy who meet at a yard sale while eying the same green plaid shirt. They go on to become a gay couple. It is in the pre AIDS years of late 1970s and so outside relationships are common especially among the gay community. Philip discovers he is not as comfortable with such open relationships as Guy is. Guy moves on with another man but tragically dies of AIDS in 1988.
